Screed Operator

The Screed Operators are responsible for the smooth ride asphalt pavement is known for. Operating the free-floating screed, they level the hot mix to the right thickness and evenness to produce the best roads. And smooth roads not only feel great to drive on, they reduce wear and tear on vehicles.

Education requirements:
High school diploma or GED

Other requirements:
Knowledge of paving equipment
Team player

Compensation: $10 to $23 per hour
