Lute Person

As the last person to touch the HMA surface before rolling, the Lute Persons work the hot mix by hand with a rake to repair any pavement imperfections. With an eye for quality, they determine how the finished job looks.

Education requirements:
High school diploma or GED

Other requirements:
Knowledge of paving equipment
Team player

Compensation: $10 to $23 per hour
